Put simply the SNAP Active Display module is where an on the shelf product is able to interact with an LCD screen. When a customer is in a retail store browsing and they pick up that product (could be a telephone or a running shoe for example) information on that particular product is displayed on the screen in front of the customer. In the case of mobile telephones, a customer can find out the features of the mobile phone, the cost of the mobile phone – compare 12 and 24 month plans between different carriers, in a simple and clear manner. When the customer replaces the product, the product specific information will disappear from the LCD screen and the normal marketing schedule will continue.
